On September 15 through September 17 Troop 1444 went to Camp Tifie in Mount Pleasant. The Troop did not have many members at the campout but the overall reaction was still quite positive. On the day that Troop 1444 got to camp Tifie, we were all given special medallions. If you earned a bead by doing an activity, you would put it on the rope around the medallion. Many other trinkets earned through trading, a favorite activity, and were placed on the ropes as well, including glass eye beads, died bone beads, and other special objects. When people finished every single activity that was related to Mountain Men such as Native American Folklore, they would get a special object to tie onto the medallion. Many people got very creative with the concept of the medallions, and true works of art were created.
