- Where do you meet? Corner Canyon Church (12883 S 1300 E, Draper UT 84020), in the basement, from 6:30-7:30.
- Do you meet all year long? We meet weekly as Dens and/or a Pack throughout the school year. We offer a summer day camp and other Pack activities a few times throughout the summer (dates determined each spring).
- What is the cost to join? There are two fees that you pay to join Cub Scouts: an annual membership fee to the national Scouting America organization, and annual dues paid directly to our Pack to cover expenses like awards, Pinewood Derby Kits, etc. As of May 2026, the annual membership fee is $115 and the Pack dues are $99, for a total of $214/year. A bargain compared to many other activities!
- Do adults have to pay to join the Pack? Yes. Adults pay $65 annually. For adults who are active leaders, this fee is returned to the family scout account at the end of each year (based on adult participation).
- Who leads Pack meetings? Our adult volunteers! Our Pack is parent volunteer led. We have a fabulous, dedicated group of parents who plan and lead our weekly meetings. All adult leaders have completed Youth Protection Training and practice measures to ensure cub safety. But we are always looking for additional volunteers! If you’d like to help, please contact our Cubmaster!
- What do cubs wear to meetings?
They generally wear a Class A uniform that is available for purchase at a nearby Scout store (Orem or Ogden). This includes class A shirt, neckerchief for their Den, and slide, (scout pants, belt, and socks optional). These uniforms are worn to most scouting events. We pride ourselves on presentation, so we ask that clothing is kept in good repair and shirts are tucked in for all events.
We also provide one Class B shirt for all new Cubs. These yellow shirts are worn for less formal activities, when doing sports, service, work, etc.
Additional class B shirts are available for $8 each.
Troops 1444 (boys) & 3444 (girls):
- Who can join your Troops? Boys and girls ages 11-18 can join our Troop(s).
- Where do you meet? Corner Canyon Church (12883 S 1300 E, Draper UT 84020), on the main floor, from 6:45-8:30 weekly.
- Do you meet all year long? Yes. We meet all year long (with exceptions for holidays).
- What is the cost to join? There are two fees that you pay to join Scouts: an annual membership fee to the national Scouting America organization, and annual dues paid directly to our Troop to cover expenses like awards, equipment (tents and stoves), etc. As of May 2026, the annual membership fee is $115 and the Troop dues are $249, for a total of $364/year. A bargain compared to many other activities!
- Do adults have to pay to join the Troop? Yes. Adults pay $65 annually. For adults who are active leaders, this fee is returned to the family scout account at the end of each year (based on adult participation).
Should you wish to be a Merit Badge counselor there is a registration fee of $25 per adult. - Can adults participate in the troop? Yes! We are always looking for parents to volunteer for our committees (running Board of Review meetings, helping with fundraising, managing our troop medical forms, etc). Additionally, we always appreciate more official involvement by parents acting as Merit Badge counselors or as Assistant Scoutmasters.
- Does your Troop participate in campouts? Yes. We have monthly campouts (generally the 3rd weekend of each month, Fri-Sun). We also participate in a one week campout each summer (usually in July).
- Who runs your troops? Our troops are Scout Led. This gives our scouts input on deciding activities for weekly meetings, helps them guide which merit badges they want to earn, gives them leadership opportunities, etc. Though this can sometimes lead to a bumpy process, it is a fabulous learning environment for our scouts! Though we are Scout Led, there are always adults present and monitoring activities. All adult leaders have completed Youth Protection Training and practice safety measures to ensure Scouts are not put into compromising positions.
Crew 2444
- Who can participate in your Crew? Boys and girls ages 14-21 may join the Crew.
- When do you meet? This group is Scout led, which means the scouts need to plan, communicate and participate in activities more independently (though there is always adult supervision of communications and at activities). For this reason, our Crew does not meet on a scheduled basis. They generally hold planning sessions at the end of a Troop meeting. Activities (hikes, bike rides, etc.) are generally held on Saturdays. Though specific Crew activities are sporadic, we encourage any members who are enrolled solely on our Crew to participate in our Troop activities like monthly campouts.
- What is the cost to participate in the Crew? If you are part of our Troop, your fees are covered to join our Crew. If you are joining only the Crew, the cost is $115 annually. There are no Crew dues for our unit. Costs for activities are covered through individual or group fundraising or individual activity costs (ex. ropes courses) paid by each Crew member.
