About Troop 3444
Troop 3444 is a youth-led Scouts BSA troop where girls build confidence through outdoor adventure, practical skills, leadership, and service. Scouts work their way from the Scout rank toward Eagle while learning to plan, solve problems, support one another, and take responsibility for their own progress.
Troop 3444 is part of Wasatch Front Scouting alongside Troop 1444. The two troops are separate Scouts BSA units, but both belong to the same welcoming Scouting community in Draper.
- Youth-led, adult-supported

What You’ll Do
Scouting helps young people become confident, capable leaders through outdoor adventure, practical skills, service, and real responsibility.
▲
Camp and Explore
Troop 3444 offers a camping trip or outdoor activity nearly every month. Scouts explore new places, try challenging activities, strengthen their outdoor skills, and take part in a weeklong summer camp each year.
◆
Learn Real Skills
Weekly meetings and outdoor adventures give Scouts hands-on opportunities to practice first aid, cooking, navigation, camping, emergency preparedness, equipment care, and other useful skills. Advancement and merit badges help each Scout explore new interests and become more capable and self-reliant.
★
Become a Leader
Troop 3444 gives Scouts real opportunities to lead. Youth leaders plan meetings, organize activities, guide patrols, teach skills, and help younger Scouts succeed. Every responsibility builds confidence, communication, teamwork, and the ability to turn an idea into action.
♥
Serve Community
Scouts put service into action through troop projects, community activities, conservation work, and Eagle service projects. These experiences show Scouts what teamwork, initiative, planning, and a willingness to help can accomplish.

HOW THE TROOP WORKS
Troop 3444 is led by its Scouts with guidance and supervision from trained adult leaders. The Senior Patrol Leader and other youth leaders help plan and run meetings, organize activities, communicate with their patrols, and keep the troop moving forward. Youth leadership elections are held twice a year. Newly selected leaders receive training and work together through the Patrol Leaders’ Council to plan the troop’s upcoming meetings and adventures. Not every plan works perfectly, and that is part of the experience. Troop 3444 provides a safe and supportive place for Scouts to try, learn, adjust, and try again. Adult leaders protect, advise, and encourage while giving Scouts room to take responsibility.
1
Join a Patrol
A patrol gives each Scout a small team in which to belong, contribute, plan, and practice leadership.
2
Learn & Advance
Scouts progress from Scout through Eagle at their own pace through hands-on skills, merit badges, leadership, and service.
3
Lead & Serve
Leadership elections are held twice a year. Scouts take increasing responsibility, mentor others, and serve their community.
Troop meetings include learning activities, merit badges, and a monthly advancement night. Outdoor activities are generally offered on the third weekend of each month, with a weeklong camp each summer.
